Orahus's recent acquisition of a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface highlights a pivotal moment for many collectors: choosing a significant new piece after careful consideration of several esteemed brands. His decision to prioritize the Reverso's unique design, manual-wind movement, and wrist presence offers valuable insights into the factors that resonate most with enthusiasts. This article explores the community's perspective on why the Reverso, particularly the Duoface, remains a cornerstone for discerning collectors.

As you may recall, with a post from last weekend, I reflected on adding to my small watch collection, with Breguet, VC, Cartier, and JLC on the short list. I flirted with a Breguet Classique (2010) and a VC Malte (2006) during the past days (on-line, pre-owned watches), but I came home with a new JLC Reverso Tribute Duoface. The dial, the strap (and I have a black alligator one on order), the manual wind movement, and overall fit and presentation on the wrist won me over. I was actually quite surprised to even see one last weekend at a local AD.

...it's a feature that nobody else really does very often, and it makes the watch so much more interesting imho...

This model is a bit too big for my wrist but it's beautiful, JLC won't let you down!

Wear it in good health, and so show us a wrist shot with the other face 😁

It’s been on my radar for a while. I just wish there was more of a contrast on the reverse side.
