In a surprising turn for a seasoned collector, burnsey66 shares a deeply personal journey of paring down an extensive watch collection to an almost singular focus. This article explores the unexpected dominance of a specific Jaeger-LeCoultre reference in his rotation, prompting a re-evaluation of what truly constitutes a 'perfect' collection. His candid reflection offers valuable insights into the evolving nature of watch collecting and the pursuit of horological contentment.

I don‘t think I‘d be able to go down to three at the moment. I think watch collecting is some sort of addiction.
Nice trio. The JLC is, in fact, my favorite of the three . Cheers, Filip
I'll still dabble with watches, but my serious collecting days are over...
Many thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts on that journey. And also congrats on a great trio which covers many bases. Fwiw, I’ve been thinking along similar lines and trying to reduce / consolidate my collection. Making it down to three is impressive, I’m already struggling at twice that, with some relapses… Maybe it’s the journey that matters, in this hobby of ours? Cheers, Jerome
A very fine trio you have there. For me, that’s all the bases covered. Well played!
I have the three, but will sell two to leave just the JLC.
