This article delves into rip9er's personal observations and questions regarding the practicalities of setting and adjusting these intricate complications, providing valuable insights for both seasoned collectors and those new to high horology.

both me and my brother had to send them for repairs (master perpetual ultra thin).
Let me check the manual.
the mechanism is engaged. But that holds true for almost all brands with a date function.
Adjusting time backwards is possible.
Almost all watches with date functions shouldn’t be turned back during the time the mechanism is engaged.
The date adjustment isn’t direct. It is connected to the hour hand which I find tedious to have to rotate the hour hand 24h for a date change. Is there a perpetual calendar which can set backward?
