Dave G, a seasoned collector, shares a captivating look into the world of rare and artistically inspired Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces he's encountered during his global travels. His post highlights the unique allure of JLC's limited-edition creations, particularly those showcasing exceptional artistic flair. This exploration offers readers a glimpse into the brand's more unusual and highly sought-after references, often seen only in boutiques or special events.

During many travels, I often add in a bit of watch shopping and visiting JLC boutiques is often on my 'to do' list.

Frequently during these stops or occasionally at an event, I have been fortunate to see some rare pieces.  The ones that appeal to me most are the ones with aristic flair.

Probably my favourite is 'The Wave' below...my son urged me to buy it but the price was quite dear...some regret.

The Reverso Art Deco 101 (Ref 3003430)  is really cool as well.  The photo is a stock picture but I did handle it at one time in Hong Kong.

Most of these I think were made is very small quantities and difficult to find again.

As for the great wave of Kanagawa, here it is, recto and verso. And the recto is sublime, too! The MR Van Gogh is spectacular: I just regret it houses an automatic movement which is not really spectacular. At the contrary of the HM 11, which is spectacular on both sides: It is something to be able to see all these pieces at the same place! Thanks for sharing these pictures and your experience, my friend. Best, Nicolas

The Van Gogh editions are marvelous. The last picture is a very interesting JLC. I want something to know about that reverso.

The one shown has onyx and mother of pearl inlay in the case. The ladies version features diamonds and a softer look.
