Stabilizer, a seasoned collector, shares his excitement about acquiring a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Art Deco in rose gold. This article delves into his appreciation for its unique aesthetic and movement, and explores his quest for a complementary steel Reverso Grand Taille, offering insights into building a thematic collection.

Thrilled to add this Reverso Art Deco to my collection.  I was enthralled by it from first sight.  This is my first rose gold watch - normally yellow gold is my colored metal of choice, however I couldn’t picture this piece in any other.  The dial design with brushed metal, the depth and quality of the guilloche and finishing quality of the markers + hands, are really something.  And then the movement... oy vey ... and then to ponder the wearability on a casual brown strap, which I will play with making even more casual to complement the rose gold.. it is just to my sentiment an incredible package.

This makes for the continuation of now a collection of sorts, within my collection - now two Reversos in grand taille case size, although quite different from one another.  Makes me crave to add back the steel duo which I mistakenly let go years back.  I think finding just the right steel reference in the grand taille size may very well be my next quest.  Any suggestions?

Just such a fun element, even standing in contrast to other aspects of the design, in a cool way too me.

I had the ultra thin duo in steel and foolishly let it go... I would love to have that one back now, for sure.
