Amanico's initial post on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel Tiger 2022 sparked a lively discussion among collectors, delving into the brand's strategic choices for its iconic Reverso line. His detailed presentation of the rose gold timepiece, with its striking black enamel dial and intricate verso engraving, serves as a focal point for a broader conversation about JLC's approach to limited editions versus general production models. This article synthesizes the community's insights, exploring the aesthetic appeal of the watch and the ongoing collector desire for specific Reverso configurations.
Jaeger Lecoultre just unveiled this Reverso Tribute Enamel Tiger, to celebrate the Chinese " Year of the Tiger ", this year, made to order, so not a limited edition.
The case is in rose gold, with classic dimensions ( 45, 5 x 27, 4 X 9, 73 mm ).
The main interest of this watch is the mix of black enamel dial, at the point that this watch would find its raison d'être with the recto dial only.

is unbelievable beautiful!! Perhaps there will be also a version with a simple back case to make your own engraving or a second time zone on the backside? Then I would try to get it.
Always a fan of rose gold paired with a black dial, it looks great on the Reverso especially. The tiger engraving is fantastic as well!
WITHOUT that atrocious CIRCULAR sub seconds 👌🏻
....it's just that they reserve the cleaner and desirable dial without the circular sub dial for the much more expensive dial treatments and you then also have to pay even more for due to the included handpainted works of art on the back. They really should do a Tribute sunray range with out circular seconds....even if they only did a black or off white one I'm sure it would sell well
We can all agree: The black enamel and rose gold combination are timeless, beautiful and desirable whilst the Year of the Tiger verso engraving/enamel will have limited appeal. Where does this leave us? We must wonder about the goal of current maison leadership with respect to the push/pull of creative/artistic endeavor AND desire for production of an all out popular "home run" general production model. The maison seems to deliberately avoid making even a few regular production pieces that (it k
