Chronometer (aka yacomino) shares his journey to acquiring his first Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, a significant step for a collector accustomed to larger timepieces. His post highlights the allure of the Reverso's vintage DNA and its surprising versatility, challenging preconceptions about rectangular watches and smaller case sizes. This article explores why the Reverso remains a quintessential choice for discerning collectors.

Thanks in part to many of the members comments here on this watch which helped me in my thought process!  I was able to get passed my fear of this watch being too small for me (yes I do wear a lot of 47mm Pam! But for a dress watch the smallest I had was 39mm round) And couldn’t help but to fall in love with this beautiful classic and timeless timepiece!  I love its vintage DNA, this is my first rectangular watch.  Of course I can’t wait to play with the strap but I have a feeling I’ll have no problem dressing up or dressing down this one smile!

Thanks for looking!

Every nuanced collector must own a reverso at some point, and you picked a beautiful example. I can’t wait to see what you do with it, in terms of aftermarket straps.

its surprising how versatile the Reverso is when it comes to straps: milanese bracelets to canvas straps it all works!
