amanico announces an exciting collaboration between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Belgian AD De Greef: a limited edition Reverso Tribute to René Magritte. This exclusive series features Magritte's iconic 'The Treachery of Images' with the famous 'Ceci n'est pas une pipe' motto, available in steel and white gold, building on the classic Tribute to Reverso 1931 design.

Jaeger Lecoultre decided to make a Tribute to René Magritte with a small edition of the " Treachery of Images " and the famous " This is not a pipe " motto, in collaboration with the Belgian AD  De Greef, in Brussels.

This watch will be available in steel ( 15 pieces ) and in white gild ( 5 pieces ).

You know the front side very well, it is the Tribute To Reverso 1931.

The verso side bears the lacquered engraving, featuring the famous pipe:

While, on the back of the case, you have Magritte's signature.

Here in its box:

The movement is the Cal 822, housed in the Tribute to Reverso 1931.

I still have to see pictures of the white gold version.

2 other series will come. One certainly next year, as it will be the 50th anniversary of Magritte's death.

And another one a bit later.

This series will be available at De Greef, in Brussels.

A personal note: This version put a smile on my face, as I was lucky to have the papers of my JLC Amvox II dedicated by its designer, Magali Metrailler, and guess what drawing she chose?

Best,

Nicolas

PS Credit pictures; Johann Sauty and Jean Davister. Except the last one, which is from me.

About the Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox2 Ref. AMVOX2

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.

The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.

This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.

According to the article, the idea came from Jacques Wittmann (De Greef), Charly Hercovici (the owner of the Magritte Trust) and Janek Deleskiewicz from JLC. I can call Jacques if you wish to.

And your drawing from Magali is superb.. totally along his line ! - Makes one think.. what is behind things.. One of my own additional fav pics by him is the man with Bowler & apple portrait. The Son of Man (French: Le fils de l\'homme),1964 (Credit: The Internet) Magritte himself wrote: "Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see." Cheers & Best, hs
