After my lunch today at the 1881 Heritage, I was suddenly confronted by a heavy downpour as I exited the restaurant. Without a second thought, I ducked into one of the many watch boutiques that lined the promenade. As it turned out, it was the JLC boutique and I thought great: I'll browse around until the rain stops or lessens. There were a few pieces that I wanted to see; some for the first time like the 2015 Grand Reverso Seconde Centrale and the Unique Travel Time. I also wanted to revisit the Reverso Rouge and the Duoface Blue, as some of our dear friends here have been sharing theirs recently and in no small way has had a positive effect on me.  Thank you guys.smile

Unfortunately, there was no Duoface Blue but the Rouge spoke to me this time round. It's strange how it has grown on me!

Some pics:

My first encounter with the Platinum Geophysic - nice but I'll stick with the SS.

Grand Centrale Seconde and the Rouge. The GCS didn't do it for me this time but who knows?

No, not this strap please (no holes)

Much better

The buttery CS strap.

So after the deluge, I found this wrapped around my wrist. A serendipitous moment indeed which ended on a high note!

Thanks to the JLC staff for being so hospitable and to all of you for sharing this memorable day with me.

Cheers

fernando

storms in HK can be quite strong !!! Heavy rain, lightnings and ... ZAP ... a Reverso Rouge on the wrist Congratulations on getting one of the last remaining Rouge: AFAIK, since a long time ago, they are all gone here in Europe. And kudos to the JLC staff for accepting to swap the strap to a nice Fagliano (I'm being a bit jealous here). Mine says Hi!

Everything came together today I suppose: the rain, the Rouge in the showcase, the Fagliano, which initially was only available on order and the recent price adjustment. :) I remember your awesome white strap with the red stitching; a fantastic combo IMO. Thanks DMS! fernando

It looks fantastic on you! My Rouge also snuck up on me. The day the Rouge came to me, however, was very sunny. ;-) Mine also says hello. Best, respo

prior to my lunch appointment added to the 'perfect storm' D. Subconsciously, the flag was etched in my mind, thus I ducked into the JLC boutique for a reason and not ALS, VC, RD, BP, Breguet etc. which are all close to each other. Vlad's flag will have to wait for now as it requires much more of a commitment...... but I have already done yours. ;) Best fernando
