Two different ways to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the manufacture icon.

One is simple, delicate, the Duo:

The other is challenging, complicated, highly sophisticated, the Gyrotourbillon.

The common point between these 2? Their cases have been highly revisited.

The Tribute Duo receives a new case, which is slightly bigger than the GT case from the 90's, but much smaller than the Tribute to Reverso from 2011 and onwards.

The Tribute to Gyrotourbillon is incredibly thin for such a tourbillon. While the Gyrotourbillon 2 was 15, 8 mm thick, this latest opus is 12, 4 mm high... Yes, a technical challenge, which represents an important advantage: It is wearable, finally!

Test both of them in the real, you will see that the size of these 2 Reversos is not a problem. The Duo is not too small, with its 42, 8 x 25, 5 x 9, 15 mm case. It is just superbly proportioned.

The 51, 1 x 31 x 12, 4 mm case of the Gyrourbillon is not too much, as you could first think when reading these figures.

There are some other cool offers, such as this very nice looking Master Ultra Thin 39 Perpetual Calendar black dial, which blends elegance and strength, but for me, these 2 Reversos are the champions of the year.

If I had to choose only one, it would be the Tribute Duo, though. For a clear reason... The Gyrotourbillon One already too my heart.

And the Duo is such a jewel!

What about you?

Best,

Nicolas

Anyway, the gyrotourbillon is incredible. I am sure this Jaeger is hypnotic. If you dive your eyes inside this Tourbillon, I am sure you cannot stop admiring it. Do you have a picture of the both gyro in order to see the difference of thickness? Thank you Nicolas Best wishes Alkiro

+1 on my pref for the splendid new Duo: it\'s fresh, modern, but not too much, a classic icon, but not boring at all. And a very wearable piece, whereby 2 watches in 1. - I do like both sides, love the blued hands & indices on the Recto side, and the cool Verso .. with that beautiful Guilloche pattern in blue. Currently I am seriously tempted, although I have another Duo, back from 1982, which would then go.. - In fact, already made an appointmment in the Boutique for seeing the RTD this week..
