Dje's 2009 SIHH report unveils Jaeger-LeCoultre's new jewelry collection, highlighting a fresh approach that blends traditional luxury with contemporary design elements. This article showcases JLC's innovative use of materials and artistic settings, offering a unique perspective on the brand's haute joaillerie offerings.
Let's be
crazy sometimes !
I've seen
this year a whole new collection of new jewellery timepieces from
Jaeger-LeCoultre. Please have a look at them!

This new
collection is particularly fresh as it offers not only diamonds, but also
mother of pearl marquetry, ceramic cases, and art deco setting on a Reverso
case.
The 39mm
ceramic case above is the first example, with 235 F-G Top Wesselton VVS
diamonds approximating 9 carats.

The Master
Twinkling dials are now offered with very nice mother of pearl marquetry, still
in their 36.8 mm
cases

These incredible
dials are as all Master Twinkling models turning and consequently playing very
nicely with the light.

So far these models
are obviously very feminine. You didn't doubt about that. So far…..

If you find the
simple row of diamonds a bit too light, you can move from 97 round cut diamonds
to 141 baguette cut diamonds.

You can also
choose black diamonds. I won't follow you on this path though!

Are you done
for now with round watches?

Here is now
coming the sport watch of this collection, the Reverso Squadra!
I have an idea
about the kind of sport you can do with this kind of watch!!
I'm not
sure it's played at the Olympic games!

Obviously this
watch is also fitted with the self-interchangeable wrist band system.

But let's
talk about complicated watches now !
If you're
looking for an upgraded Master Tourbillon……

The first piece
presents a dial made of two superposed slices of somewhat transparent mother of
pearl, so the two pieces play with the light and their patterns very nicely.

The second
piece has a painted mother of pearl dial, for a striking effect!

The third piece
has a diamond set mother of pearl dial. No less than 767 diamonds are used for
this one.

Then comes the
Master Grand Tourbillon, with its second time zone.
For these
pieces the diamonds are now baguette cut, perhaps opening a door for men to
their 43mm cases! Who knows?

The range of dials
is again very rich, offering choices.

Here comes my
favourite round piece of this collection. I found the mother of pearl marquetry
particularly appealing. In fact I'd be quite interested to see such a
dial on a Master Grand Tourbillon without diamonds.

Those who never
get enough can always hope, specially with this ultimate piece, approximating
50 carats of diamonds with 550 baguette cut stones.

The last piece
of this post will be the marvellous Grande Reverso Rock Setting.

The 599
baguette cut diamonds draw a pattern that links back to the Art deco theme of
the Reverso history!

The play of
light of this invisible setting of stones is really amazing, believe me!

In fact those
watches would better be presented in a movie, as light is essential obviously
to catch their powerful appeal.

I hope you
enjoyed those marvels. Try to have a look at them!
I still have
one jewellery piece kept hidden! We'll see it soon!

Thanks for the pics! I wonder what the hidden jewellery piece is? -MW
these are actually quite nice. Specially when you compare them with some other brands jewellery collection. Thanks Dje. Cheers, Starman
Thanks for the share. Very nice quality jewel watches.
...none of it melts my heart. I do think the MOP marquetry is quite lovely though. I cannot fault JLC for their craftsmanship, that's for sure! Cheers, Daos
Thanks for posting. -Dean
