Nicolas (amanico) invites the community to weigh in on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tourbillon, presenting three distinct variations: rose gold, platinum, and platinum skeleton. His personal preference for the platinum skeleton, due to its integrated tourbillon display, sparks a lively debate on aesthetics, complication visibility, and material choices among collectors.
but I'm Rose Gold guy ;) Cheers D
JL signature stands out on dial side in rose gold and the way that it harmonizes with blue hands and guilloche dial but sweetest side is back side on this Reverso of course I love "steampunkish" look of that back side very much and somehow I don't find power reserve disturbing but very a propos Sincerely Rose Damjan
For me, the clear winner is the Rose Gold. It has a feeling of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Great Gatsby and the beautiful dresses of the Roaring Twenties. The Platinum reminds of the Chrysler Building in NYC, and finally, the Platinum Skeleton reminds of the Lloyd's Building in London. So for warmth, and decadence, I absolutely love the rose gold. Great pictures, Dean
I love the Breguet numbers on the Platinum but I really don't like the "swash" on the dial for the RM, I Love the movement too. The dial on the Rose Gold is my favourite but I would love the Breguet numbers, the movement is very nice too. Skeleton are not really my thing although this one due to its "modern" looks doesn't look bad at all compared with some "Rococos" which I really don't like. So, if I had to choose one, I guess it would be the Rose Gold, followed by the Platinum and the Skeleton
The power reserve on the Pt ruins the otherwise perfect dial. Those Arabic numerals and the rest are perfect though.
Why ? Well it just happens, that I'm not a lover of skeleton pieces, with the one exception of the Master Minute Repeater in Titanium ( Antoine LeCoultre), The piece I have seen myself thanks to you.. - Second would be the Platinium one, low key enough with those numbers on the recto side - my Kudos to the Rose Gold, pretty straightforward, clear fonts on the recto, the Tourbillion only when I want AND a clear readable RDM, nicely finished. Thus, sorry - other choice, but " Chacun a son gout"..
