Another dream of watch enthuisasts in Turkey came true and Dear Mr. Kari Voutilainen visited Istanbul. It was his first visit to Turkey. The event was held in Swissotel The Bosphorus by Mr. Kadir who is the builder of Turkey Watch Club. We, a bunch of watch maniacs in Turkey, had a chance to talk with the Grand Master  for hours and once more we amazed and admired not only to his art but also to his  excellent personality and his usual humble attitude. The night was noted as of the most memorable nights of our lives. Here are the some moments and photos of the night.

My dear friend Kadir did the best seating planning.

We started with a short introduction

At the same time we started to explore some art

Then, the Grand Master started. We watched the movie and listened him as if it was a heavenly tune.

Then the conversations and watch checkings started in a very friendly environment. Here is a Vingt8 belongs to a guest from Ukraine.

GMT6 which Kari brought with him

Another Vingt8 with amazing black dial. It was on Kari's wrist and easily became my next target.

Kari's Vingt8, Mr. Kadir's RM 11-03 NTPT and my Lang & Heyne Friedrich III

Some shots from last years Basel meeting with Kari, just to have the cherry on the cake.

And finally, the end of the night with his book presented to all participants.

It was a fantastic night and we enjoyed a lot. We  spent great time with Mr. Kari Voutilainen and we hope he did too.

Sorry for the quality of some photos but this was the best I could do.

All the best.

Kerem

Kerem, Thank you for sharing your joy at the Voutilainen evening. Welcome to Turkey Watch Club maniacs...that's the best kind of member We congratulate you for two reasons. First, the excellent evening shared with Master K.V.; a tribute to organisational skills. Next, that you got Kari to speak for HOURS; that is also a superb achievement worthy of "cherry on cake". We know how good Turkish cherries are! Come back soon! MTF

Actually meeting him in the watch events like SIHH or Baselworld is always insufficient due to tight schedules, many organisations and limited time. That's why we decided to invite him our city to meet in much more relaxed environment without any time frame. And we succeded. As we all know, he is such a nice person that he accepted our invitation with pleasure and came. It was pricesless.

I've seen a lot of KV watches and Kari has visited San Francisco more times than I can count. Despite all the watches I've ever seen, I've never seen one quite like the last one. That is an amazing piece!
