Mahesh's initial post introduces the independent watchmaker Kikuchi Nakagawa, highlighting the brand's commitment to transparency regarding outsourced components and impressive in-house finishing. This discussion provides valuable insights into the brand's appeal and the community's perspective on its design and value proposition. It's a great opportunity to explore a lesser-known independent brand that prioritizes craftsmanship and honesty.

i'm impressed by the watch esp. with the recent white dial version he've introduced.
37mm 8,5mm thick in steel, pretty oldschool with broad lug width @ 22 mm.

printed dial...

Most components seems to be bought out - very transparently mentioned in the website
but the finishing done in-house is impressive, the level of polishing...mirror effect all over !
the hour hands...
powered by a micro-rotor Vaucher Fleurier movement.
i couldn't find any online reviews or material around this watch !
Best,
mahesh.,
Been following these guys for some time and really like what is being made... Believe watchesbysjx did write an article about this piece some time ago. Very curious to know as well whether any fellow purists have any thoughts to share on this one!
I love the black polishing, 36.8mm case size, the absolutely gorgeous hands and the Breguet numerals. A reasonable price too at USD20,000 but quite a long waiting list I believe. A question - I know it comes with a black dial. Does it come with an off white dial too?!
I was equally surprised by no video or any review online. The watch to me looks very elegant esp the white dial version. I’m sure we’ll have a fellow Purist who owns one.
white dial is my personal favorite in deed
I had emailed them last year and to ask if a white dial was possible and they confirmed unfortunately, only the black dial was available. Things may have changed since so I shall email them again! Thanks Mahesh!
I would love to see one. I think it is wonderfully finished externally. My only worry is that it might be too small for my monstrous arms and habit of wearing larger watches. The fact that they use outside suppliers to such an extent does not really bother me much.
