Dedicated to precision
This year, Lange’s keynote topic is precision. The moon-phase display of the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase, manufactured with a patented coating process, reproduces the period from new moon to new moon with an accuracy of 99.9978 per cent. Once correctly set, and assuming that the watch runs continuously, the display would only have to be corrected by one day every 122.6 years. Even greater precision is achieved by the moon-phase display of the Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar “Terraluna”, which for the first time in a Lange watch is integrated on the movement side. The display consists of three discs. Visible through a round aperture in the star-studded celestial disc, the moon orbits around the earth anti-clockwise. The mechanism reproduces the synodic month of 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 3 seconds so precisely that it takes 1.058 years before the display needs to be corrected by one day. The two strong mainsprings in the twin barrel of this watch deliver a power reserve of 14 days, and a constant-force escapement keeps its rate accuracy stable for the entire period. The new 1815 Tourbillon is designed for superior precision as well. It combines Lange’s proprietary stop-seconds mechanism for the tourbillon with the Zero-Reset handsetting device, which is also patented. This combination assures that the watch can be accurately set.

Additionally, A. Lange & Söhne is introducing pink-gold versions of the Lange Zeitwerk Striking Time first presented in 2011 and of the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar launched a year later. The collection is rounded off with two jewellery versions of the Saxonia in diamond-set white-gold cases with white or brown mother-of-pearl dials and matching crocodile straps.

Press Release
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 reference 206.032, introduced in 1999, is a notable example of the brand's commitment to traditional watchmaking principles. This model is part of the 1815 collection, which pays homage to the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange and emphasizes classic design elements such as Arabic numerals and blued hands, drawing inspiration from historical Lange pocket watches. It represents a more understated and purist aesthetic compared to some of the brand's more complex offerings, focusing on fundamental horological excellence.
This particular reference features an 18k rose gold case measuring 36mm in diameter and 7.5mm in thickness. It houses the manually wound L941.1 caliber, visible through a sapphire crystal case back. The movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal on the front, protecting a solid silver dial. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, suitable for everyday wear but not for immersion.
The 1815 206.032 appeals to collectors who appreciate classical proportions and a focus on fundamental watchmaking without excessive complications. Its smaller case size reflects a more traditional approach to men's wristwatches, making it a desirable piece for those seeking a discreet yet highly refined timepiece. The combination of rose gold and a silver dial offers a warm and legible presentation, consistent with the collection's historical inspirations.
Real soon at the Lange Singapore boutique. Thanks for the info Ken! Can't wait! Cheers Robin
Thank you, Robin! Ken
:) I am sure there will be lots of people at the cocktail party but I will try my best! :) Cheers Ken Robin
I already saw them but well... it is always nice to see them again in a different context and several months after. Fx
Come back in a time slot with less people! About the pictures, the most important is not the camera, any decent camera will be ok... the most important is the light conditions! Can't wait to read your comments! Fx
Silly of me. Of course I shouldn't squeeze with everyone else for good photos! Will enjoy the cocktail party that night with friends of Lange and fellow PuristS then. Photos another time :) The Lange boutique is super near my office too. cheers Robin
