I went skin-hunting one day at the Jean Rousseau boutique, pawing through the pile, looking for just the right color blue. Disappointed. Many different variations but none quite right.

Then it dawned on me: I was looking at the skins under the artificial light of the showroom. When I carried the few skins that caught my eye over to the window, the world changed. All of them looked totally different, many better but some worse. Inspired, I grabbed a bunch of other skins that I had previously rejected and brought them over to the window.

And that's when I found this blue, lurking near the bottom of the heap, just waiting to be discovered.

The perfect blue, fading into near-black at the creases.

Then I specified how I wanted it cut, because I like long side to include some smaller scales towards the tip. Only 1 keeper and 3 holes needed.

Best of all, the watch is finally comfortable because the deployant is now centered on the bottom of my wrist.

I have a few one hole straps that really make it feel custom. Three holes give a little more flexibility for the seasons.
