Nicolas (amanico) shares his perspective on the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Lumen from 2018, highlighting its platinum case and integrated power reserve indicator. His post offers a direct comparison to the original Datograph, inviting collectors to consider the evolution of this iconic reference. This article delves into the nuances that make the Datograph Lumen a significant piece within Lange's chronograph lineage.

Personally this uniquely beats the original. Gorgeous while teutonically true at the same time
It may be in part due to the lovely blue/grey dial colour which is one of my favourite colours for a dial as well as the way everything is so clean and legible and I really like the big date. I know what i have said may be considered blasphemy by some but I just like what I like. Whilst I'm being honest I feel the same way about Patek Philippe I love some models but not all but having said that I can still appreciate what both brands deliver in regards to high quality movements, spectacular dial
this piece at release price (below market price) vs original at today market price Which one would you buy ? 🙂
first or second is fine. I was really excited about the first Lumen (the Zeitwerk) but the novelty worn off after the second release for me. This Dato Lumen is the forth Lumen I believe.
I like the Grande Lange 1 Lumen too (without the moonphase).
That's why I had to specifically mention without the moonphase. 😄 I like the moon to be in its original location.
