Jay (Eire) brings to light a rarely discussed A. Lange & Söhne dial, often overlooked in favor of more elaborate haute horlogerie finishes. His macro photography captures the subtle, unique texture of what he terms the 'eggshell dial,' inviting collectors to appreciate its distinct character. This article delves into the nuances of this particular dial, exploring its origins and why it stands out within the brand's esteemed lineup.

Especially given the texture of such a great dial, it’s extra impressive how the minute tracks are so cleanly and accurately done.
Or am I misreading what you said
I don’t think one would see any hands on the dial at this price point.
The PT version is too close to a regular 1815 in my opinion. At least with this watch one got the case material and the dial (colour and texture).
Lovely detailed pictures of the dial texture and finish....I have yet to see one in the flesh!
I am saying this dial gets zero attention and there are few dials on Lange, with the exception of the handmade / hand hammered, that are “better” than this dial.
