I am sorry I am only posting this now,but work commitments and most of all a change in my computer set up,prevented me from posting before.

I was lucky enough to join a group of London based fans to a trip to the holy land of Saxonia to visit for the first time A Lange and Sohne manufacture.

A visit has always been a dream for me as I consider AlaS one of THE most important manufactures in the industry.

Even if their (modern)history is relatively short,ALaS managed straight away to climb the Olympus of watchmaking ,setting benchmarks unachievable by many brands.

When you hold a Lange watch,its sensational how you have a feeling of quality that not many other brands manage to achieve,and the most striking thing is that the same quality is all across the board ,from entry level to top complications .

The trip was a very enlightening,fantastic experience,that reenforce even more the faith I have in ALaS.

Here are a few pics of the trip,and afew watches(old and new)that really left me speechless.

Now ,a new encounter for me,It was the very first time alone with the RL PLMs.

The live experience is just mesmerising ,a watch that embodies everything a dream watch should be.

I am still shaking after the experience,this is a watch worth selling an organ for....my absolute favourite of the trip.

Now I can tell what Stephen experiences everyday....just sublime.

Isn t this fantastic.....just a dream....

New Dato Up/Down......a long ,strong debate about this one and the original .....well I must admit I really like this one.....very very appealing...

Rl tourbillon PLm,I havent warmed up to this watch yet,but it has its appeal

but boy.....oh my God,in metal its sensational .....Do you know that feeling of lusting for something you cannot have?Well i had it for this watch,the enamel dial,the size,the blue hands,the movement........one of the quintessential watches of the last 10 years.... Mo

It is a hell of a watch to take in photo. And it is a bit the same problem with the Langematik Anniversary, a more affordable option. Best, my co dreamer friend. ;) Nicolas.

The most important word is in the title: hospitality. At Lange, they really have the know how to welcome their guests. You always feel comfortable in this friendly atmosphere. Thanks a lot for the report and the pictures! Fx

Dearest Mo, I am happy for you, to be able to visit my favourite village, and to have time with the pair of RL PLM! Hoho, i dont actually experience mine on a daily basis, but to own it is a dream that sometimes i feel i have never fully awakened from since that faithful day in 2009.
