Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, presents a compelling comparison between two A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus references: the white gold with a grey dial (Ref. 363.068) and the steel with a blue dial (Ref. 363.179). His detailed post, complete with high-quality images, invites collectors to weigh in on the aesthetic and material choices, sparking a vibrant discussion on the brand's foray into the luxury sports watch segment.

But it’s the blue for me here, just because I prefer the color . The bonus is the alternating textures on the blue dial 👌🏻
...I would opt for steel. Lighter, more scratch-resistant, and cheaper. My only caveat is something like platinum or tantalum. I've always wanted one watch in that type of metal...
This watch does not appeal to me at all.
Design ? Thickness ? Day and date windows ? Best, Emmanuel
but with a different strap. But I also have to agree with G07 that I don’t love this watch. I have never liked the dial layout and felt that Lange, which basically makes all their watches in precious metal, jumped on the steel sports watch with integrated bracelet bandwagon because they are so popular. I would rather have an Alpine Eagle.
especially as I personally went for an AE! Best, Emmanuel
