KMII's quest for the perfect strap and matching attire for his MB&F MAD1Green highlights a common collector's pursuit: optimizing comfort and personalizing a beloved timepiece. This thread delves into the practicalities of strap selection and the subtle art of horological accessorizing, demonstrating how small adjustments can significantly enhance the wearing experience of even the most distinctive watches.

The MAD1 represents M.A.D. Editions' collaboration with fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, positioned within the M.A.D. 1 Time to Love series. This limited edition model carries the distinctive black dial configuration that defines this particular reference within the brand's contemporary lineup.
The 42mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a smooth bezel configuration. The black dial is protected by sapphire crystal, while water resistance extends to 30 meters. The timepiece is completed with a black leather strap that complements the dial's dark aesthetic.
Produced from 2020 to present, the MAD1 appeals to collectors interested in contemporary independent watchmaking with fashion industry connections. The limited production status and collaborative nature position this reference for those seeking modern alternatives to traditional luxury timepieces, particularly collectors drawn to crossover pieces that bridge watchmaking and fashion design disciplines.
The closest I could do without a shirt
Got to know him via IG. The straps are really nice and have a decent price performance ratio
The new thinner ones are probably easier to wear. Although changing the straps helped a lot already.
Ask me for a sweater
I am curious, how is the rate accuracy of the movement on this reference?
I used to have the somewhat flawed Frederique Constant tool & app but havenโt used it for years (donโt even know where it is). And as the time display is a tad imprecise I cannot answer the question. Time for finally getting a Witschi ๐
