Nicolas (amanico) introduces the MB&F Legacy Machine No. 2 (LM2) Red Gold Blue, sharing exclusive photos and insights into its horological significance. He delves into the watch's inspiration from dual regulator concepts by masters like Breguet and Dufour, highlighting the collaborative genius behind its movement and design.

I just received these photos from the MBF Team about the new LM 2 Red Gold Blue, which is the second Legacy Machine 2 made in red gold.

The LM 2 was issued in 2013. I immediately fell in love with this watch for what it is: A superb horological creature, whose fathers are big names of Horology, such as Jean François Mojon, for the movement development, and Kari Voutilainen for the movement design and finish specifications, and talented watchmakers for the construction and finishings of the parts.

The inspiration was borrowed from prestigious watchmakers such as A/L Breguet, Ferdinand Berthout, and more recently, Philippe Dufour, who used the concept of dual regulator.

The watch is big, with its 44 mm case, and high, 20 mm for the first edition, 19 mm for the most recent, due to the presence of a hyper domed sapphire glass.

BUT, despite these " generous " proportions ", it remains wearable. At least for a wrist like mine ( 17 cm ).

Here is the fresh LM 2 Red Gold Blue.

And some pictures of the former editions, here in platinum, my favorite:

Then in white gold:

Dark Grey:

Or purple:

In titanium:

And let's end with this picture showing how gorgeous is this movement.

Enjoy!

Best,

Nicolas

About the H. Moser Concept Ref. concept

The H. Moser Concept represents the brand's contemporary automatic offering, distinguished by its fumé dial treatment within the Concept series. This reference showcases the manufacturer's approach to modern watchmaking through its 40mm proportions and palladium case construction.

The 40mm palladium case houses the automatic HMC 200 caliber, providing 42 hours of power reserve. The watch features a sapphire crystal and fixed bezel configuration, with water resistance rated to 30 meters. The fumé dial is complemented by a leather strap, creating a refined aesthetic profile.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking contemporary H. Moser craftsmanship in precious metal casing. The palladium construction and fumé dial combination positions this piece within the brand's modern offerings, suitable for those appreciating the manufacturer's current design language. Production commenced in 2015 and continues to present.
