KMII presents the Minerva Pythagore A481, highlighting its role as a serene companion for intellectual and relaxing pursuits. He beautifully illustrates how the watch's understated design and slow-beat movement complement activities like reading and enjoying music, making it more than just a time-telling device.
What's in a name? If I take the Minerva Pythagore as an example, it makes for a wonderful companion to the calm, reflective activities, be it enjoying (or performing) music, reading, etc. The slow beat of the Cal 48 movement (2,5 Hz) removes all frenzy, neither the dial, nor the case are shouty - all together conspiring to let you focus on the activity on hand. The fact that the watch still allows you to keep track of the time and to be a very pleasant companion, too, is of course a very pleasant side effect

Given that I have two ladies at home engaged in playing the piano this allows me to 'borrow' the musical sheets as photography background. And to enjoy listening to them playing (I do not time that, of course

).

Reading has always been one of my favourite hobbies. And even though demands on my time from work and my family, as well as time spent on PuristSPro have reduced my time available for reading, I still intensely enjoy the rare occassions, when I can do it

The reading tends to take all forms and cover all genres. The Minerva works with all

And books such as 'Beyond Numeracy' are simply a natural complement to a watch called Pythagore

Much more time than is spend on reading these days goes towards play with my daughter. And as we are all fond of doing, I am trying to raise a little Purist at home, as you can see from the picture below
I am still hoping for a new Montblanc watch of a modest size, using a Cal 62.00 movement that will be a modern replacement for the Pythagore of old. Let's see what the year will bring
