KIH provides an exclusive look into Montblanc's 2016 Novelty Show in Tokyo, featuring CEO Jerome Lambert. This first series highlights exceptional pieces from the SIHH 2016 collection, 110th Anniversary models, and rare Villeret Collection timepieces. The post captures the brand's commitment to haute horology through a series of captivating images.

With Mr. Jerome Lambert, CEO, Montblanc, 2016 Novelty event was held at The Hour Glass Ginza.  The exhibition included those announced at SIHH 2016 as well as 110th Anniversary models, and rare Villeret Collection.....

Outside window was changed to all Montblanc.

Inside the shop was special Montblanc booth.... with pens, watches.....

Now, this is THE LE of THREE, Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon By-Cylindlique 110th Anniversary Limited Edition "Serpent".

Mysterious dial.

Super finish and the snake...

Sure, a bit of thick and big side for my wrist....

Montblanc Collection Villeret Metamorphosis II

When you pull the lever (on the left hand side) down....

Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindlique Geospere Vasco da Gama Night Sky

Love the contrast of the dial and the spheres.

Now, surprise for ladies....

Montblanc Collection Boheme Exo-Tourbillon

Sure, the finish is impeccable, but more surprising is its price....  Tourbillon price?  Really?  Gotta be kidding!

Yet another surprise tourbillon......

Montblanc Collection 4810 Exo-Tourbillon Slim

Why "slim"?  Because of this "20-bearings" micro rotor, a very serious one.

Now, Orbis Terrarum series starts!

Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum Pocket Watch 110th Anniversary Edition (LE of 110)

Three types of Orbis Terrarum - on the left is what Mr. Lambert was wearing (prototype with rubber NATO strap), and on the right is what Mr. Harrar (CEO of Montblanc Japan) was wearing.

Looks really good with NATO (but rubber).

.. and back to Villeret Collection.

Montblanc Collection Villeret Second Retour a Zero

The second hand does not only hack but also go back to ZERO.

Montblanc Collection Villeret Exo-Tourbillon Ratrapante

Enamel dial!

... and Mr. Lambert started showing the watch fans Montblanc Timewalker Exo-Tourbillon Minute Chronograph Limited Edition (LE of 100, already sold out) and explaining how great the machine is.

Mr. Jerome Lambert, CEO, Montblanc on the right and Mr. Maxime Harrar, CEO, Montblanc Japan.

... lastly, but not the least, Orbis Terrarum on Mr. Harrar's wrist.

Hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did!

Special thanks to:
Mr. Jerome Lambert, CEO, Montblanc
Mr. Maxime Harrar, CEO, Montblanc Japan
All the staff of Montblanc Japan
.. and Mr. Momoi and staff or The Hour Glass Ginza.

Thank you!

Ken

Wow you have been spoiled here. What a feast! Thanks for this pictorial report. I now wish they will make a Rattrapante WITHOUT tourbillon. Best, Nicolas

I have not had the pleasure of seeing any of these highcomplication Montblanc pieces in person and so don't know a lot about the finish etc.... do these timepieces sit up with the best of best in terms of execution and finish!? I know the brand is on the rise and I'm finding myself more attracted to it. Nice one Jerome L.

I'm appreciating Montblanc more as I age I struggled to get my head around the brand and its pens but these pieces of haute horology stand strong with the best of the best. Hope to see some of these pieces in the near future... that finish! Haunting

Good to see the richness of the MB collection! Also good to see that MR. Lambert is not the only one with a JLC background... Please send Maxime my best! Best Blomman

Nevertheless, the Montblanc is far better technologically speaking as the dial change is activated by a button and not the manual action of his owner with a rotating bezel like the Valbray. Best wishes Alkiro
