Cazalea's post captures the community's anticipation and frustration surrounding the limited edition Ming Copper and Monolith releases. This thread highlights the challenges collectors face with high-demand independent brands and the shared experience of navigating online 'click-wars.' It also serves as a valuable historical record of early Ming releases and community sentiment.

We had some discussion about the Ming website saying SOLD OUT before they even went on sale. LINK HERE

After our grumbling and grousing they claimed it was a flaw in the website. But then they fixed it and sent apologetic emails to whiners (like me and rnaden).

The on-sale time/date was today at 1 pm GMT / UTC or whatever equivalent.

How many remembered, went to the site, and were able to get in an order?

Or did we all forget or swear off these click-wars for limited editions?

Watch collectors, we need to know!

It looks like TYO was a lucky one, if I interpret his post correctly at the end of the previous thread.

Cheers,

Cazalea

PS - at 2:48 PM UTC both watches are stil available

There are algorithms designed (forget the name) just to hit these retail websites with genuine purchase orders masking IPs so several orders can be placed. Mania really

At least 15-20 of us chased The Disco Burger Let’s see how the Ming does ... we already know there are ~70 5960 variants here!

they will be producing 300 copper dial watches per year so I am quite happy to wait for when then next 300 are released. Let's see how well the Monolith works with its workhorse ETA 2824 engine.

The exclusivity is gone! Surely you jest? Wringing of hands, gnashing of teeth, wailing 😭 and whining... Sadly, Cazalea
