The first movement created by the Institut Minerva de Recherche en Haute Horologerie and Montblanc: MB 16.30

The movements and watches displayed at SIHH 2009 were the first prototypes.

Now the movement has been fully tested and vetted.

Montblanc announces that the Grand Chronographe Regulateur is in full production swing at the Villeret workshop.

"Full production" means 8 pieces in rose gold and 8 pieces in white gold. There are 304 components to each movement.  That is 4864 pieces that must be hand finshed ! smile

Enjoy, Mike

customer service will take care of the issue better than some other company. "I would be waiting before jumping into a newly prototype watch from this young watch company." Do you feel this way about all newly developed watches or just Montblanc because of the your recent quality experience with the frames? I can honestly say that MB checks their parts under extreme conditions. I have (and soon you will too) seen the testing results. Minerva has 150 years of experience with chronograph movements
