ambel's post offers a compelling comparison between two significant acquisitions: the Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph and a Minerva Calibre 13.20. His candid reflection on overcoming initial 'watch snobbery' towards Montblanc, juxtaposed with his appreciation for Minerva's heritage, provides a nuanced perspective on brand perception versus tangible quality. This discussion highlights the evolving relationship between Montblanc and Minerva, and the exceptional finishing found in their collaborative timepieces.

Last weeks saw two new wonderful pieces added to my collection.
The Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph
Minerva Clibre 13.20

I was overwhelmed since the launching of the Pulsograph at SIHH.
However as watch snob, never really enjoyed the brand name and history of Montblanc.
After months of thinking, my heart overtook rationality.
And today I am very happy about that decision.

A simply stunning watch.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to acquire the Minerva rosΓ© gold calibre M13.20
As well a stunning watch and mechanism.

Which one I prefer: I love the Minerva history, calibre,...
But the end result to finishing - Montblanc is the winner for me.

I also had the opportunity to handle some of the Villeret collection watches with their beautiful Minerva caliber. The movements are absolutley fantastic. Of course, I was also thinking about the "Montblanc" name on the dial and if I could accept it. Well, all the technical stuff and the great finishing is there. So I think it must be a very personnal reflexion but however all concrete elements are checked. So yes I wouldn't mind having the Montblanc name on it if I love everything in that watch

but I might be biased...I'm just going through a period of obsession for Minerva... both are jewels in any case, congrats for the superb catch!! enjoy them in good health. cheers, Alex

Still have an obsession for Minerva. If Richemont group would have kept this name - it would be a stunner brand nowadays, that for me could compete with Patek. But here I am a bit biassed of course But the quality, finishing,... of the Montblanc is a killer.

My MB villeret chrongraph grand feu enamel has the same beautiful movement as your Heritage Pulsograph! It's the Calibre 13.21 monopusher - the finishing is superb and the monopusher feel is silky smooth (so is the winding of the watch). You have the best of both worlds with these 2 watches! The finishing, design and servicing support of Montblanc as well as the romantic and rich history of Minerva (well I have that too on my movement but having Minerva on the dial is a next level of feeling! )

Bravo for having let your Watch Snobbery aside. Bravo for having pulled the trigger. Bravo for this pair. The Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph is certainly a good Watch. I hope they will release it in white metal Black dial one day. As for the Villeret, what can I say??? Sublime! Everything is superb, here. And the dial has such a soul! Bravo. Nicolas

to have both is even nicer. Congrats! I have a soft spot for the Minerva, because of its additional spice. Oliver
