After New York, i traveled to Miami for my next mission (in my job).

I love Miami. Such a beautiful city. And everyone is so happy and relaxed here. A really nice place to live and work in.

Some pics to share.

South beach

Unfortunately, an accident happened to my watch last night. I was walking on the streets when I heard a sound. I looked back and saw my watch on the concrete ground. The deployant buckle came loose on its own. I will feedback this to Montblanc Singapore - I always felt the part of the deployant buckle fitted into the strap hole too loose for my liking.

This part of my buckle came loose and it lost its attachment to the hole of the strap

The watch had the dial facing the concrete ground. Thankfully the sapphire glass didn't crack and the watch still keeps time we'll today. But the bezel has some dings now sad

See the dings near the crown on the bezel

My Montblanc sales rep at the boutique in Singapore has been notified and he has kindly asked me to send the watch back for checks and servicing when I am back to singapore. Hopefully they can help me with my case - I was personally disappointed with the loose buckle. Will feedback to Montblanc

Even with the dings on the bezel, I am still very much enjoying my watch though smile

Cheers
Robin

very sorry to discover this event Robin,

I hope Montblanc will erase the ding on the case. You should consider the steel bracelet as an alternative option. Mine fits perfectly and does not move. I hope your lovely OT will come back soon from service. Best regards, Patrickh

Thanks Patrick for your support :)

I have faith my Montblanc Singapore sales rep will help me to his best. He is having a vacation now in Japan and still pings me to ask me if the watch is running , assures me he will help me fix this etc . I think their service standards are very high! Cheers Robin

Sorry to hear about that, Robin

Glad not more happened, though. And the dings, let\'s call them escapades of a seasoned globetrotter until you get them sorted out, a bit like the battered patina Rimowa suitcases acquire when traveling a lot Hopefully the replacement / repaired deployant will no longer be loose, though. Some very nice pics, looks like an enjoyable trip overall

Miami is very nice indeed

I just realized my hotel\'s pool on the 15th floor is a party paradise! I am going to spend some time here today! Cheers Robin

Ouch! Lucky it fell onto the ground, and not into the Miami sea.

Hope it turns out OK for the watch in the end. Funny, the advantage of deployants are that they're supposed to help avoid such mechanical failure causing the watch to fall off.
