Some time ago I entered into a gentleman’s agreement with Nilo - each one of us would get a watch of the brand the other one was moderating. Or put differently, a Montblanc for him, an Omega for me. While Nilo has been very quick in upholding his end of the bargain, with two Montblanc watches to his name, I have gotten one for my father but not yet for myself. The second child intervened but now I am in a state to correct the situation. And am looking at getting the first Omega for myself smile

The question is where to start. And as I have often gotten splendid advice from Purists in terms of that very topic, here’s my specific question (would much appreciate your advice, Nilo, too)...

Looking at watches I can get directly from Omega or that are still available new, three front runners emerged.

First of all the plain vanilla regular production Railmaster from 2017:

Secondly the much loved and appreciated amongst Purists  CK2998:

And finally the Museum Collection Race End Timer:

There’s certainly a spread in terms of style, use and appeal. If it was your choice, which way would you go and why? Any others you’d throw into the consideration set?

Thanks in advance and a great weekend to all!

Among these 3, go for the CK 2998 white blue. You won't regret it, and in terms of price / pleasure, it is a champion. [nt]
