Omega, in collaboration with the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), awarded Omega timepieces to three Singapore women national table tennis players who won Singapore’s first Olympic medal in 48 years, at the Omega Boutique at Raffles City.
Omega was the Official Timekeeper for the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing last year and it marked Omega’s 23rd partnership with the Olympics. It was Omega’s 75th year of involvement with timekeeping and the sporting event.
Omega’s commitment and close association to sports motivated their pledge to Team Singapore last year when they presented three watches to promising young athletes - Li Jiawei from Table Tennis, Ronald Susilo from Badminton and Lee Wung Yew from Shooting before the Olympics as an encouragement.
In addition, Omega promised to reward any athlete that brings home a medal.
