exhibition consists of three segments : the key vintage collection, a
full-size replica of the Slow-Speed Torpedo (known as Siluro a Lenta
Corsa (S.L.C.) or 'Maiali') and the current collection.
A beautiful pop-up store at the busy ION Orchard mall. The SLC is placed right in front of the entrance.

First stop, the SLC chamber. Full description of the functional parts of the 7.5m 2-seater “maiali” listed out.
That's
not all, a photo-booth is installed for guests to have a selfie with
the SLC, just behind the gentleman, in the above photograph.

A detailed look of the deck.

Next very interesting segment - the Vintage Collection - the design evolution from Radiomir to the Luminor ...

The 1940s Anonymous 47mm Radiomir for the German Navy assault divers. Dials not signed for operation secrecy.

With Rolex hand-wound movement.

After
the world war in the 50s, production continued ...dial might be marked
“Radiomir” or “Marina Militare” or “Luminor”, or both.

With hand-wound Angelus movement.

The
60mm Radiomir L’Egiziano was the prototype made in the mid-1950s at the
request of the Egyptian navy ( also the nickname Egyptian). Within is
the hand-wound Angelus with 8-day power-reserve.
On the dial, at 3H, a circular inscription - '8 GIORNI BREVETTATO' meaning '8 DAYS PATENTED'.
Some other devices used by the Italian Special Forces ...

The wrist compass for navigating whe underwater. Luminescent was readable at depth of 4 to 5 metres.
The ELUX underwater torch was used for signaling and not for illumination.

Another
version of the wrist-compass. Later iteration, a black-cover was added
over the dome-crystal as the luminescent could put the commandos at
risk being spoted.

The
Depth Gauge, two versions were available. For mission depth of 15
metres (use for assault) or 30 metres ( for defence - for under the
hull inspection, submarine or mines spotting.

The next segment is the current collection ... snapshots of some of them.
If
you are in Singapore, please drop by... the vintage pieces are
well-worth seeing with an expert-guide providing the historical
details.
