For those who missed out on the Panerai PAM616 Carbotech Submersible, here's your chance to buy a smaller variant - the PAM661 which is a 44mm Luminor Marina 1950 housing the P.9010 movement.

Notice the luminova circle hour markers are larger than normal, and you have the blue seconds hand at the 9 o'clock subdial.

This PAM661 Carbotech should be "hot" like its predecessor IMO.

Estimated retail pricing of PAM661 - $11,800.

About the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 Carbotech ™ 3 Days Automatic Ref. PAM616

The Panerai Luminor Submersible Carbotech PAM616 is a notable iteration within the Submersible collection, distinguished by its innovative case material. This reference showcases Panerai's commitment to exploring advanced composites for watchmaking, offering a distinct aesthetic and tactile experience compared to traditional metals. It represents a specific period in the brand's material development, appealing to collectors interested in technical innovation within the Luminor family.

This model features a 47mm case crafted from Carbotech, a composite material based on carbon fiber, known for its lightness and unique marbled appearance. The watch is powered by the automatic mechanical Panerai Calibre P.9000, which provides a three-day power reserve. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the watch is water-resistant to 300 meters, consistent with the Submersible line's robust design.

The PAM616 holds relevance for collectors seeking a larger, material-focused Panerai. Its Carbotech construction sets it apart from more conventional metal Submersible models, positioning it as a piece for those who appreciate modern material science in horology. While other Carbotech variants exist, the PAM616 was an early and significant example of this material application within the Panerai catalog.

Amazing case, love that it's much thinner now. Love that dial as well and the blue touch. Home run.

I\'m not normally much of a Panerai guy but I like the design of this one. Understand that it will be a regular production piece as well which is nice.

I, on the other hand, like...nothing...about it. THE Carbotech has it's own...personality...and I find it truly a handsome model. This one...live...it's not even a distant second IMO
