Subexplorer shares his affection for the Panerai Radiomir PAM 190, affectionately nicknamed "My James Bond Pam." He details the watch's elegant design, its exclusive JLC-based movement, and the personal connection to Sean Connery, making a compelling case for its unique appeal.

The PAM00190 represents Panerai's Radiomir 8 Day Power Reserve model within the Radiomir 8 Day series. This reference delivers extended power reserve functionality in the brand's cushion-shaped Radiomir case format, distinguishing itself through its manual-winding movement and eight-day running capability.
The watch features a 45mm polished steel case fitted with sapphire crystal and rated for 100-meter water resistance. The black dial provides contrast within the steel case construction. A fixed bezel surrounds the dial, while the manual-winding movement requires daily interaction from the wearer to maintain the extended power reserve function.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking substantial case presence combined with manual-winding engagement. The PAM190 offers entry into Panerai's extended power reserve complications while maintaining the fundamental Radiomir case architecture. The combination of 45mm sizing, steel construction, and manual movement positions this model for enthusiasts who prioritize mechanical interaction and substantial wrist presence.
A very nice Panerai, with its top JLC movement. Thanks for the link with Sean Connery. Un abrazo. Nicolas
... An elegant and beautiful watch for a classy man! Don t you think so?? Un abrazo mi amigo! Abel
The Panerai 190 was the only watch I kept of the original strap in the original configuration. Below is the JLC with the same eight day movement. I think Panerai did a great job hiding the the reserve counter. Abel put the watch near your ear you can barely hear it tick. The JLC Eight Days is also a master piece of elegance and balance while remaining a very sporty watch. Enjoy your 190 it is a real classic. Bill
The Panerai PAM 190. Best, Nicolas
But then again they are all keepers. A+ Bill
Very different but equally beautiful. Bill
