To be honest, I am not a big fan of the bracelet, especially since the Royal Oak and the Overseas have much more substiantial and more "creative" bracelets. I also don't intend to go...

..swimming. I have the 5711J on the Patek Philippe rubber strap. I also thought it was leather when I saw it first. I have just gotten a bit tired of gold watches over the last year or so. I also think the stainless steel version is more easily wearable in most situations.

I’ll let others comment, but my personal experience of wearing the SS nautilus models (5711 and 5712) on bracelet was not that enjoyable. The clasp leaves a lot to be desired, and the watches felt extra light (seiko light [i know that I’m gonna get burned on the stake for saying this]😱), if that makes sense. Because of gold’s heft, your watch shouldn’t haven’t that problem. I’m not trying to knock on a watch that is sought after by the entire universe (or so it seems), I’m just trying to make su

All of your points are valid. I am willing to ignore the flimsiness of the Nautilus steel bracelet and clasp of the 5711 because the finishing is very good. [nt]

If it's Not the bracelet or "swimability", why do you want to change?

The J is my favorite 5711. I'd keep it, if I had one. Only reason I don't have one is, that a I didn't find a good exanple.
