CaptainCrunch initiates a discussion comparing the brushed finish on different Patek Philippe Nautilus models, specifically noting a more pronounced finish on a white gold version compared to his own 5711. He questions whether Patek Philippe's service center could apply a more obvious brushed finish to his 5711 to enhance its aesthetic.

I was comparing the level of brushed finish of two nautiluses and noticed the more pronounced brushed finish on the white gold model.

Do you guys think it is a good idea, if the Service center can do it, to do a more obvious brushed finish on the 5711? I think it looks better. I searched online and notice that not all 5711 are brush polished the same degree. Some are very pronounced which IMO looks nicer than the half gassed job.

This I think is the perfect bezel brushed finish

Very soft brushing on this one

So is on mine.

I would not change the factory finishing. But that's just me. [nt]

It will just be a more obvious brush finish Kari. No deal? [nt]

Sometimes there are things which could be improved.

But because life is not predictable, I would not destroy the resale value of a relatively expensive watch. As simple as that. Best, Kari

I would definitely not get it refurbished by Patek or anyone else. It is a huge risk.

It will come back worse or damaged. Of course it is your own choice.
