I'm very happy to present you my latest baby, a watch which seduced me when I first saw it in London: the Spirit Pioneer by Peter Speake-Marin.

I will not describe you the watch, I will just tell you why I bought it.

I bought it because I love its design of course but even more for the context behind.

Peter is a friend and this watch, a very simple one, is maybe one of his most personal ones. It is a true homage to his first steps in London but also to the difficult time the independant watchmakers may face.

More than a watch, the Spirit Pioneer is a symbol of life. "Fight, Love, Persevere": the engraved words on the back say it all.

I chose a special number to give my own personal touch on it.

These few words are very simple, the reasons of my choice only came from my heart and I know that this Spirit Pioneer will be a true companion for me.

I will present you later this watch in details but I didn't want to do it first to only share with you the reasons behind my choice.

Congratulations on this fine piece you obtained. I had never seen this one and i 'fear' i will have to see it in the flesh, can you post some more pics with different views or are you going for an in-depth one of these days ? Did you have coffee at "La maison rose" ? It is really tiny ... inside ... . Salut Filip
