KIH provides an exclusive hands-on report from the Richard Mille Tokyo Boutique, showcasing the RM050 and RM052. His detailed photographs and initial impressions offer collectors a valuable early look at these distinctive models. This article serves as an important resource for understanding the design and technical features of these unique Richard Mille creations.

The Richard Mille RM008 represents the brand's approach to high-complication watchmaking, featuring both a tourbillon and split-seconds chronograph function within a single timepiece. This reference combines two significant horological complications in Richard Mille's distinctive contemporary case architecture.
The 39mm titanium case houses the manual-winding RM008 caliber, providing a substantial 70-hour power reserve. The skeletonized dial construction reveals the movement's architecture, while sapphire crystal protects the face. Water resistance extends to 50 meters, and the watch is completed with a rubber strap. The fixed bezel maintains clean lines consistent with the overall design.
Produced between 2005 and 2010, the RM008 appeals to collectors seeking advanced complications in a modern presentation. The combination of tourbillon and split-seconds chronograph functionality positions this reference for enthusiasts focused on technical complexity rather than traditional dress watch aesthetics. The titanium construction and rubber strap reflect Richard Mille's contemporary material choices during this production period.
what a coup ,Ken !! Thanks for the excellent photos as always... U immensely enjoy your weekends, dun you ?
... some weekends, full of these visits and events. But NOT always! It's been really hectic the past few weeks. I sleep until noon every weekend and that is my priority If you think I really enjoy weekend, see here: home.watchprosite.com Busy, busy, busy..... sigh..... Ken
caught most peoples attention at SIHH. I liked your photo of the back of the skull - a frosted finish - that I missed first time around. Great finish for the reverse side of the skull that shows such attention to detail. Thanks Ken for the review. Andrew H
... you should hurry to place an order.... Ken
for me, please This is the first "skull watch" that I really like, even when it is too big for my wrist and too expensive for my bankaccount :-( Ken, you covered it very well and it was great to see all those details - again. Oliver
052 is much better shaped and made than I saw in the live photos from SIHH. The price tag is also a bit higher (much higher?) than my bank account, but should be an interesting weekend watch. All spoken for, I heard the rumor.... Ken
