Yes, the references from Richard Mille collections seem to become bigger and bigger (and may be less legible) but the watch we're talking about is another marvel from the brand: the RM50-27-01.

I'm a great fan of the RM027 line-up and the movement housed in this model is the one we already discovered in the RM027-01: the "suspended" caliber with Tourbillon.

The NTPT Carbon case used is the RM50's (model usually made for the Tourbillon Split Second chronograph). The Tourbillon and movement is still made of very exceptional material (Lital...) showing the brand's mastery to deal with very hard and light material.

Inside the traditional watchmaking world, the movement and technology used by RM is really IMHO something above the others. However, this is not traditional watchmaking anymore either.

It is only available in 5 pieces, for America and in RM's boutiques.

About the Richard Mille Tourbillon Rafael Nadal Ref. RM027

The RM027 represents Richard Mille's Tourbillon Rafael Nadal model, produced from 2010 to 2012. This reference belongs to the RM 027 series and features a manual-wind tourbillon movement in a lightweight carbon construction.

The 39mm case is constructed from NTPT Carbon with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. The skeletonized dial reveals the manual-wind RM027 caliber, which provides a 70-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 50 meters, and the watch is fitted with a rubber strap.

This reference appeals to collectors focused on Richard Mille's technical approach to lightweight materials and tourbillon complications. The NTPT Carbon case construction and three-year production window from 2010-2012 position this as a specific iteration within the broader RM027 series, combining the brand's material innovations with traditional tourbillon watchmaking.

This is indeed one of my favorite from last years

The fantastic caliber in the "traditional" NTPT tonneau-shaped case. The RM010 is for many of us one of the most balanced in the collection, it has nearly all, especially considering the price compared to other RM watches (except the Tourbillon which is, in RM's collections, quite a different feature than in other traditional brands). Cheers.

Color Cobinations

RM are always brave with their colors - probably red and black is one of their "traditional" pallets Personally - I LOVE this combo!
