Was able to get a Green Day Date 228235 and traded in my chocolate day date to get it. What do you think? Good decision?

About the Rolex Rolex 228235 Ref. 228235

The Day-Date 40 reference 228235 in Everose gold with a green dial represents a contemporary iteration of Rolex's flagship day-date calendar watch. Introduced as part of the updated Day-Date 40 series, this reference maintains the model's signature display of both the day of the week spelled out in full and the date, presented through apertures on the dial. The 40mm case size offers a modern presence while retaining the classic proportions associated with the Day-Date line, distinguishing it from its 36mm counterparts.

This particular reference features a case crafted from 18k Everose gold, Rolex's proprietary pink gold alloy, which is known for its lasting color. The watch is powered by the Caliber 3255, an automatic mechanical movement developed and manufactured by Rolex, offering a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters. The fluted bezel, a hallmark of the Day-Date, is also executed in Everose gold.

The Day-Date 40 with a green dial in Everose gold appeals to collectors seeking a distinctive and luxurious timepiece within the Rolex catalog. Its combination of precious metal and a vibrant dial color offers a specific aesthetic that stands out. This reference continues the Day-Date's tradition as a high-end offering, positioned as a sophisticated daily wear option or a significant addition to a collection of modern luxury watches.

Sure, why not. For me, it’s the green dial. But more important than what any of us think, what do YOU think?

This green is different than other Rolex green I have. It really changes in different light. Looks more olive in natural light and a darker green inside. Truly amazing.

I really love olive green dials, and this specific combo is gorgeous. I would have a hard time here though making a decision, the chocolate is also stunning. Enjoy your new baby in the best health!
