Date: November 28, 2013

Leveraging on DKSH's long tradition and outstanding expertise in targeting the growing Asian luxury watch segment, Swiss Auctions is making its way to Malaysia after two remarkably successful runs in Hong Kong. Around 230 valuable luxury timepieces and writing instruments will be auctioned. It will also introduce two independent master watchmakers.

For the first time, Swiss Auctions will take place in conjunction with Starhill Gallery's A Journey Through Time, one of Asia’s grandest luxury watch and jewelry showcase. This international auction event is scheduled to run on November 28, 2013 at The Ritz Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.

The top ten timepieces to look out for at the auction are Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Platinum Number One, Bovet Dimier Recital, Girard-Perregaux Enzo Ferrari Tourbillon, Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller with brown dial, Ulysse Nardin Sonata, Bexei Primus Triaxial Tourbillon, Patek Philippe Ref. 5059, IWC Portuguese Minute Repeater Squelette, Vacheron Constantin Malte Chronograph and Patek Philippe World Time Cloisonne.

Of course, a box is included with this auction lot. smile

Master watchmakers to inspire
With the mission of promoting Swiss watchmaking culture, Swiss Auctions has been privileged to invite two members of AHCI – the Horological Academy of Independent Creators – to present their unique timepieces and help spread the watchmaking culture to the Malaysian audience.

World renowned masters in the craft of watch-making, Aniceto Jiminez Pita of Pita Barcelona, Spain, and Aaron Bescei of Bexei, Hungary, are among the world's most sought after talents and craftsmen in the art of watchmaking.

Special rule for Patek Philippe auction

The watches could be examined at the Preview sessions except the Patek Philippe owner stipulated inspections only through the box and plastic! I think its the new PPIP disease....(Patek Philippe In Plastic) ;)

It would be very interesting to see ...

... two Ref. 5131 watches of the same condition sold in the same auction, one in plastic and one opened. Does the sealed packaging really increase the value, as some clearly think? Why else would you store it away never opened, inspected or wound? I would prefer that someone had a opened it and sorted out any mechanical issues under warranty. Andrew
