Cpt Scarlet introduces the Ulysse Nardin Blast Moonstruck, a new release that reinterprets astronomical complications with a geocentric display. Now for something completely different.

Ulysse Nardin has just announced The Blast Moonstruck.

The watch reproduces the moon’s rotation, and replicates the movement of the sun around the globe and the tidal flow.  It’s an interesting concept, to make a geocentric display that is relatively easy to understand, even for a beginner with no knowledge of astronomy.

The watch is housed in a 45mm case to enable all the information on the dial to be legible. Finished in  black ceramic and black DLC-treated titanium. The movement is self winding and the complications include Dual Time, Moonphase and Perpetual Calendar.

The cost of adding this one to your collection will be approximately:
£65,790 - €78,800 - $ 88,700

The question is, are you tempted ?

If i have those money laying around, i would happily get this masterpiece...

Providing i can pull it off on my wrist. The lugs seems short and pointed downward so 45 mm maybe still wearable. USD 88,000 still worth spent on this than two rolexes namely Tiffany OP and Steel Daytona for me anyway

This one is continuing the moonstruck line.

With its upcoming independence, hopefully UN’s former glory days will return soon !

In complete agreement here dear Gordon, hope they return to the classic designs, and the super unusual complications that UN is famous for. One can always dream...

Also thank you Captain for the great write up!🥂
