After a very short teasing, here are some excellent and exciting news.

Ulysse Nardin is unveiling a watch 2 months before the SIHH 2018: The Marine Torpilleur Military. And not only one, but two versions.

To be more precise, the case is the same, 44 mm, steel sandblasted, with a solid case back on which is stamped a Torpilleur Boat.

Two dials are available, an eggshell, or a black.

One thing I wondered is what C.W stands for... I had the answer through the official press file: " Chronometer Watch ".

The Marine Torpilleur Military is water resistant to 50 meters.

Inside is beating the in house Ulysse Nardin movement, the Cal 118, whose ancor escapement is made of silicium.

Of course it is a Chronometer, certified by the COSC.

The good news is that the price is not too high: 7900 Euros.

The bad news is that we don't have an enamel dial... I would have so much loved to have one in that watch! But the price wouldn't have been the same...

Here are the official pictures.

Looking forward to reading your comments and thoughts,

Best,

Nicolas

Very nice watches.

l like the sandblasted case it looks very unusual. I think I prefer the white version as I'm not sure about the colour of the hands and numerals on the black one. I presume the hands are luminous but it looks a bit strange. I love the impressive engraving of the torpedo boats on the back. Beautifully done. Regards Kev.

The black dial has luminous indices and hands, yes. The white is the safer choice for me. I am afraid I will get rid of the black. Not so sure... But the white, yes! [nt]

I think here it is the real impression of the watch in your hand ...

... or on your wrist that will make the difference. Especially the black version has the potential to be a real winner, but can also be a bit boring - from the press pics, both is possible. I would be intrigued by the luminosity of the hands, but generally, the white version is historically more correct and also appears to express more class. Marcus
