Brandon.c shares an exclusive look at his Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon Japan Special Edition, a timepiece created for The Hour Glass Ginza's 25th anniversary. This article highlights the nuances of this limited release, which Brandon.c notes may have been largely overlooked, offering a rare glimpse into its design and collector appeal. His personal insights provide valuable context for understanding this unique reference within the broader Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle collection.

I wanted to share a wristshot of my Traditionnelle tourbillon that was made for the 25th anniversary of The Hour Glass in Ginza in fall of 2021.  I think this release may have been overlooked by many as I haven't seen much information published outside of the press release on Vacheron's site - https://presslounge.vacheron-constantin.com/traditionnelle-tourbillon-japan-special-edition/

There were two versions produced, the 6000T-000P-B973 with a rose-engine guilloche dial and the 6000T-000P-B974 with a straight-line guilloche dial.  Both were in a platinum case and shared the same shade of blue on the dial.  They were numbered X / 6 pieces, but I was told that only 5 pieces of each were produced with unlucky #4 being skipped.

I've had mine for a little over a year at this point and it is definitely a favorite in my collection.  The combination of a beautiful guilloche dial, peripheral rotor automatic, and a tourbillon came together to make a very compelling timepiece.  The straight-line dial was my preference of the two, but the rose engine variant was very nice as well - if it was the only choice I think I would've still decided to make the purchase.

About the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Ref. 6000T

The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon reference 6000T-000P-B974 is part of a limited Japan Special Edition series, produced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Hour Glass Ginza. This reference is distinguished by its straight-line guilloché dial, offered alongside a rose-engine guilloché variant (6000T-000P-B973), both sharing a specific shade of blue.

The timepiece features a platinum case housing an automatic tourbillon movement with a peripheral rotor. The dial's intricate guilloché pattern is executed in a blue tone, providing a visual contrast to the platinum case. The tourbillon aperture is prominently displayed, showcasing the regulating organ.

This reference holds particular interest for collectors due to its extremely limited production, with only five pieces of each dial variant reportedly produced. Its exclusivity and the combination of a tourbillon, automatic winding, and a finely crafted guilloché dial in a precious metal case position it as a significant piece within the Traditionnelle collection.

Great picture of an amazing watch - One of not many indeed! Really like the guilloche work, it complements the grey-blue color on the dial very well. Thanks for sharing, Jerome

I wrote a review about this watch a few years ago and it's stuck with me. What a wonderful watch! www.watchprosite.com Congrats on acquiring this lovely piece. I've had the pleasure of meeting the fella who does the guilloche at the factory.

Love that dial. Definitely my favorite iteration on first glance.
