Just 4 weeks after SIHH at the Miami Watches and Wonders, Girard-Perregaux released another novelty from the 2019 collection.

The Girard-Perregaux Quasar. It is sitting within the Bridges collection and is a not unfamiliar watch that was released last year. The Neo-Bridges Tourbillon Skeleton. But instead of a polished Titanium case, it now comes in a full Sapphire case.

While the Titanium version was already a light watch, the sapphire takes it to a new level of being very light and really translucent.

Light can go in and out everywhere and the overall transparency on the wrist has also been pushed up.

The case size has slightly grown to 46mm (45mm for the Titanium).

I only had a few minutes with the watch to take some photos, but it is very impressive in live. For a full review I need to wait for an opportunity to spend a little bit more time with it.
