Description

I have from my personal collection a Lange Datograph 403.032 Rose Gold for sale. It comes complete with all boxes and papers. This version of the Datograph is commonly known as the "Dufour Datograph". The legendary Swiss watchmaker Philippe Dufour owns the same rose gold Datograph. In an interview, Dufour asserted that there is no other series produced watch that could match the Datograph in terms of sheer beauty of execution and perfection in finish. When asked why, he said, “Take 10 movements out of the current range of any contemporary brand, put them next to a Lange movement, and comment honestly on what you see. That is the best way to judge - by examining the truth.” Not interested in any trade at the moment. Face to face delivery is possible in the Bay Area, New York, Toronto, and Hong Kong if pre-arranged. If you are seriously interested, please contact me. I have lots of reference on PuristsPro which I hope you do too. Feel free to contact me for their contact info. Thank you for looking.

📖 About This Reference

The A. Lange & Söhne Datograph reference 403.032 is a significant early iteration of the Datograph line, distinguished by its flyback chronograph and outsize date complication. This reference, introduced in the late 1990s, established the Datograph as a cornerstone of Lange's modern era, showcasing a unique blend of technical innovation and classical Saxon watchmaking aesthetics. It represents the initial vision for a highly legible and functionally robust chronograph from the brand. This particular reference features an 18kt rose gold case with a diameter of 39mm and a thickness of 12.8mm. It houses the manual-wind caliber L951.1, known for its intricate finishing and column-wheel flyback chronograph mechanism. The movement provides a power reserve of 36 hours. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the silver dial, which is characterized by its prominent outsize date display at 12 o'clock and subsidiary dials for continuous seconds and 30-minute counter. The 403.032 appeals to collectors interested in the foundational pieces of A. Lange & Söhne's contemporary revival, particularly those who appreciate the original design language and technical specifications of the Datograph. Its relatively compact dimensions for a chronograph of its complexity, combined with the rose gold and silver dial configuration, offer a classic yet distinctive presence. This reference predates later Datograph iterations with extended power reserves, marking it as a specific point in the model's evolution.

Can anyone explained this?
Hi all, I recently got a pre-own Lange Datograph 1st Generation ( Ref : 403.032 ). The watch is a 2006 Datograph Rose gold with a silver dial. I even post an incoming thread here. To the best of my knowledge ( and the watch dealer that sold me the watch ), the watch has never been sent for service.

Lange Datograph reference 403.032
I was in Berlin over the last few days and managed to find my way into a number of watch shops. I was surprised that so many "hard to get pieces" were available across both Lange and Patek. Still, it gave me the opportunity to try on a number of watches, and I have to say that I have fallen for the

10y old post, but hoping you still have this watch in your collection and haven't upgraded to a zeitwerk or something. Any luck?
