FS: Lange 1 - Platinum "Stealth" (ref 101.025)



The Lange 1 Platinum "Stealth" (ref 101.025) is one of only two Lange 1 models to be in continuous production since 1994. Obviously it is one of Lange’s flagship and most popular models.

I am selling this watch for a close personal friend I have known for many years. The watch is in my possession; I inspected it, evaluated the condition, and photographed it.

The watch measures a perfect and comfortable 39 x 10 mm. The movement visible through the display back is a work of art, and if you have never wound a Lange 1, you are in for a treat. One of the standout features is the applied numerals in the subdial.

The watch is conservatively graded as Very Good condition due to numerous light scuffs on the highly polished bezel and deployant clasp. These are the natural result of ordinary wear and should polish out easily. Note that this watch has never been polished because the owner preferred a natural patina. The package is complete with original boxes and papers, original Lange polishing cloth, and even the plastic protective wrap and two hang tags originally on the watch. The tang buckle has been replaced by a Lange WG deployant clasp – the difference at current list prices represents an upgrade of $1,300. WG is appropriate as the crown and applied numerals are also made of WG. In addition, the package includes three straps. The watch is currently on a very nice semi-gloss black alligator from Lone Star Watches. The original Lange black alligator strap is included. I am also including a nice Havana Brown alligator from Rios which provides a completely different look for the watch.
