An unexpected release with this contemporary re-interpretation of the 1940s rare chronograph ref. 1533 • A retro style very Art Deco stainless steel case of 40mm and “teardrop" shaped lugs coupled with a rose gold bezel, push pieces and large crown • This harmonious body reveals a stunning yellow gold-toned dial with a blue tachymetric scale • Rose gold central hands indicates the hours & minutes while the blued chronograph hand will strike on this brilliantly reproduced dial when activated • The 30-minutes counter at 9 o’clock has the particularity to have the « 4I5 » printed in red, to allow a measurement of 45-minute (or a match’s half-time since Mr Jacques-Louis Audemars was a football fan back then) • The old inscription « Audemars Piguet & Co - Genève » is visible under the 12 o’clock indication for a perfect vintage immersion.
The in-house movement visible through the sapphire case back is the self-winding calibre 4409 with a power-reserve of 70-hours, nobody can miss the gold rotor with “Clous de Paris” decorated pattern.
