Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Tadao Ando Titanium 103245

Arguably one of the most desirable Octo Finissimo that Bulgari has produced, allow me to present the delightfully thin Bulgari Octo Finissimo that has been graced with a new dial by Tadao Ando.  Famed Japanese architect, Tadao Ando, is well known for his impressive modern architecture, often in grey color patterns since the architect's preferred medium is often grey concrete.  Ando seems to have a tenacity to combine square shapes and circular shapes in artful ways that are playful in light. 

Like Tadao Ando's architecture, this Bulgari timepiece creates a calming zen sensation as it playfully but calmly displays the time.  The spiral motif, exclusive to the Tadao Ando limited editions, offers a calming aesthetic, especially near the edges where it is framed by an octagon frame, which in itself is framed by the round bezel and then multi-stepped octagonal case.  It's almost paradoxical; there's actually a lot going on, yet there's a calm effect, a stillness, that's only interrupted by the faint movement of the petit seconds; a serious timepiece yet playful. 

The movement is incredibly thin, at 2.2mm it was one of the thinnest automatic movements in production when it was released,  boasts reasonably good finishing, and offers an elegant and subtle design suitable for all occasions.  The entire watch is only 5.15mm thick!

The Octo Finissimo is also a watch that has earned its place in some very special collections; including collections belonging to super collectors and even famed watchmakers themselves.  Max Busser, William Massena, Horology75, and more are all proud owners of Octo Finissimo timepieces. 

The case is a Gerald Genta designed case from the 1980s, with an integrated bracelet; all made of sandblasted titanium (save for the deployant buckle which is made of stainless steel).  The dial features a special spiral motif, do note, the dial is a spiral, not concentric circles.  This spiral motif is exclusive to the Tadao Ando Limited Edition. 

Offered at a price significantly below market; this watch has achieved results of $32,000 USD and $30,000 USD at auction. 

Condition:  Watch is in NEW condition, has never been worn, and has never been sized.  Watch has never been polished.  No case damage, never dropped, watch runs well.  Sapphire crystal has no chips nor scratches and is in PERFECT condition.  The bezel is in PERFECT condition and shows the watch was never polished.  Strap and clasp show ZERO scratches.  The watch still has its protective film on it and was never worn.  2021 Model Year.
