Cartier Basculante mechanical, model 2390, tank "reverso" watch. It is a refined and elegant timepeice with a highly rated Frederic Piguet movement.
The complete review of this larger sized tank watch by Walt Odets over at Timezone gives a fuller explanation and details.

(pls Note: at the end of his review he mentions that the only "caveat" he finds with the watch is the company's design and intention that make it difficult/impossible for the end-use to change the strap without taking it to a Cartier service center. However my watchmaker assured me that it is not the case with this watch that I am selling, although I have not tested it.)
I would rate this watch using the TZ grading system as: near mint, (conservatively 93%). I wore this mainly on important occasions but have not been wearing it since a long time. It was just serviced by a top watchmaker who had this to say about it: "Its a beauty, and it is a very well made watch. The quality of the workmanship on its is superb in comparison to other watches. Cartier really did a great job on it. ...for 3 days it has ran spot on."
The only part of the watch that looks used is the blue alligator strap but it is in very good to excellent condition, with the Cartier tang buckle (not signed).
Also the watch comes with the original Cartier red box, but there are no papers.
Asking $2575, incl Paypal, shipped.
The pics are taken with an iPad. The hands are actually a very pretty dark blue but I couldn't get a good clear shot of them. If you would like any more photos or have any questions, feel free to send a PM.
