FranceFor sale, Cartier Tortue Chronographe Monopoussoir yellow gold limited edition, reference W1525751.
Elegant Cartier Tortue Chronographe Monopoussoir in yellow gold, part of now discontinued Cartier classic high end Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP). This Tortue model is a limited edition produced around 2000, based on a traditional Cartier design dating back to 1912. It is featuring a chronograph complication which is actioned via the crown. This is an emblematic Cartier complication as it was developed by Cartier for Cartier New York as early as 1928. Monopoussoir means “monopusher”, as one push on the crown starts the chronograph, while the second push stops it and the third resets the time.
Dial is a fantastic, classic Cartier shiny silver guilloché with blued Breguet style hands.
Gorgeous Cartier Guilloché dial
The back of the watch features a display back which shows the specifically designed, highly decorated THA movement designed by F.P. Journe for Cartier. Named as calibre 045 by Cartier, it is a manual movement which runs at 21,600 beats per hour, with 22 jewels and 42 hour reserve.
Display Back
As a Cartier classic model, it has the Cartier 'secret' signature at 7 o’clock and a real sapphire cabochon on the tip of the crown at 3 o'clock.
Watch measures 34mm x 43mm, featuring the standard Tortue CPCP case.
This Tortue comes with a Cartier box but uncomplete papers. It has received a new original Cartier brown full-cut alligator strap, fitted with its original Cartier yellow gold deployant buckle.
Watch is in near mint condition with some rare faint scratches.
It is available for 12,500 US$, or best reasonable offer, + shipping .
